Why I created Emily's Pillow ?

"I first discovered the benefits of silk pillowcases back in 2012.

At the time, I was looking for a way to care for my hair and help it regain its shine after experiencing significant hair loss. I was blown away by the results. Not only was my hair less damaged, but as an added bonus, my skin felt much less tight upon waking up!

I became fascinated by this material—its benefits and its history.

A few years later, I wanted to make the benefits of silk accessible to everyone by creating a responsible and committed brand. Emily's Pillow was born."

A fabric passed down through generations

The silk pillowcase is one of the best-kept beauty secrets in history. Even then, great empresses and princesses slept on silk to preserve their hairstyles, their hair's natural shine, and the beauty of their skin upon waking.

Silk is a material that has always fascinated. It is a fabric that offers unrivaled softness to the touch, naturally reflecting light with a sublime blend of suppleness and luxury.

When I was little, my grandmother had us sleep in satin sheets. The spirit was already there: the idea of a noble and flexible material, a delicate touch, and above all, the pleasure of slipping into a fabric that protects our skin and hair.

Emily's Pillow was born to pay tribute to this material and these beautiful memories.

Our silk: a choice of quality and natural materials

We didn’t want just any silk. We selected workshops with ancestral expertise in the very cradle of silk: Hangzhou, China. Our fabrics are Oeko-Tex certified, and our dyes are plant-based and free from toxic chemicals.

With Emily's Pillow, our goal is to keep this tradition alive while constantly renewing and realizing our ideas to bring a touch of modernity to this craftsmanship.

The company’s story began with our flagship product, the silk pillowcase. Since then, Emily's Pillow has grown significantly and now offers a wide range of items, always 100% silk.

Rooted in tradition and heritage

Alongside a selection of partners from the heart of Asia’s silk region, we wanted to develop a premium line of 22 momme pillowcases, crafted in a workshop in Northern France.

Even though the finest silks still come from Asia, establishing a local presence was our way of doing our part. It is about offering a conscious choice without being 'pushy.' We don’t believe in radical, black-and-white stances. For us, offering production in both Asia and France allows us to cater to everyone’s individual desires and budgets.
